Don't you find your best shoes are always the ones that hurt the most? especially if they're new.
I wore my best heels on a night out recently and ended up sitting in the toilets with tissue paper stuffed down the sides of my shoes.. didn't look too good if i'm honest.
I tried Scholls party feet but I didn't think they worked that well.. as well as i wanted them to anyway so they're abit of a waste of money.
The best way to stop your new shoes from hurting is just to wear them often before you go out- around the house is good. Hopefully where ever you first wear them isn't to far away (LRV- if you're on the Stoke campus at Staffs) as then you can easily take them off to walk home or go home early if they hurt to much. That's where I went wrong as I had my new heels on in Hanley so being carried into a taxi and crawling to my front door were the only options.
Also put lots of plasters on and when you're out.. fight through the pain :)
Pain is beauty.

Simplicity
As we're students with a severe lack of money why don't you just stick to keeping it simple.
If you want a new outfit, you could easily keep to cheap plain clothing; for example, a long top and team it up with some nice shoes and one accessory.
Remember.. Sometimes less is more!

Fashion Exchange
This afternoon the uni held a fashion exchange party where you brought your old clothes/shoes etc to the event and got to swap.
Exchanging clothes is obviously a good idea, as you can get rid of all your clothes you don't want and get new ones back in return so you're re-inventing your wardrobe without spending any money- great in this economic climate. But to my dissapointment it wasn't as good as it could have been.

But to my dissapointment it wasn't as good as it could have been. There was just one rail as not enough people had got involved.

I took an old corset top which is to small for me and my friend Hannah took some blue legwarmers as she already had the same pair at home.
But everything we looked at wasn't nice and if it was.. it was way to big. There were no 8-10 sizes there so we were pretty screwed.
In the end, after 5 minutes, I took my old corset home.. never know when I might need it again and Hannah tried to find her legwarmers to take home seeing as they're new and cost £5. But someone had already taken them so basically I ended up leaving with the top I brought and hannah left with nothing (and technically lost a fiver.)
If more people got involved then i'm sure the exchange would have been a lot better!

New Look shoes
I absolutely love shoes from New Look.
If I ever need some new heels/boots/dolly shoes.. anything, i always head to New Look. They offer attractive shoes at decent prices and good quality.. I have noticed that my shoes from New Look always last a long time.

I own several pairs of shoes from New Look. These two heels being my favourite!
Also 'fugg boots' (fake ugg boots) are pretty decent quality in New Look, I bought a brown pair myself which only cost £12. All my other fuggs I have bought from Peacocks and Primark and
they all got holes in during the first few weeks.. this is either due to the way i walk OR the poor quality!
So get yourself down to New Look.. and remember to use your student discount :)
