Summer/Holiday Essentials

I live in sunny Plymouth when i'm not at Uni and live near the beach :) so i'm always in a summery/holiday mood (if the weathers good of course) and I always start buying and browsing for summer clothes early. Also with a holiday booked in June I just can't help myself.

I noticed New Look has a great selection of basic vest tops for £4, printed tees for £6 and little shorts for £8.

Obviously, you can't forget Primark where you can probably pick up all your cheap bits and bobs you need for a week away in the sun.
I bought this kaftan from primark for £8...
I'm not a fan of the swimwear in Primark as i'm soo fussy.
For the summer I bought a nice bikini from Marks and Spencers instead.
However, Matalan does have a great selection of swimwear for the right price. Below... bikini top from £4, bikini bottom from £3, gold flip flops from £5, beach bag from £6 and a cute printed halter neck top for only £8.

Summer Sunnys

When I was driving today the sun was shining so brightly in my eyes but I didn't have any sunglasses with me :( this made me realise summer time is near :) so I thought i'd have a look online at the most stylish cheapest sunnys for this summer!

Different shaped sunglasses appear to be in this season.
These heart sunnys from asos.com are only £8...
These lips sunglasses are from urbanoutfitters.co.uk for £16...

There are plenty of 'round' sunglasses in the highstreet. Dorothy Perkins are selling them for £10. The creme ones below are my favourite, but the same in red are also pretty cute...
New Look are selling 50's retro sunglasses for £8. Or only £7.20 with our student discount..."It’s hard to go with a trend. As soon as it’s out, everyone picks it up. It’s important to stay true to yourself. Have fun with fashion instead of letting it dictate." -Estella Warren

Ebay Craze

This week I have been loving Ebay.
It's great for finding really unusual clothes and at good prices, as you can suggest a price yourself and compete with someone else for the goods :)
Whilst browsing Ebay I came across this particular top and two dresses that I liked...
You can also shop by different categories; for example, shops and brands, this is great as it's very helpful.

Make-up On A Budget

As a student, I find make-up sooo expensive to buy, especially as I use it up so quickly. All my make-up seems to run out at the same time, so it seems like i'm forking out loads of money at once.

Few helpful tips:
(1) Vaseline can be used for lipgloss, mascara and on your cheekbones :) not too much though obviously else you'll get a greasy face ha.. but putting abit on your cheekbones on top of your blushers an idea.

(2) Greasy hair? and don't want to wash it every day (as it does take the vitamins out- my hairs dry and dead enough as it is)
Why not try talcum powder, talcum powder is also a lot cheaper than buying dry shampoo. Just not too much else your hair will go grey- works better with blondes.

(3) My main essential is bronzer.
I always by Rimmel Sun Glow bronzer (£4.88) and wear it on top of my liquid foundation as it keeps you looking tanned. Got to be careful with bronzers though as I have bought cheap bronzers in the past, which have been very glittery- not a good look in the day.

(4) I do love Rimmel.. I find the products are good quality and not a bad price. I have Rimmel's black extra super lash mascara and black pencil eyeliner.

Black extra super lash mascara is £4.59...Black pencil eyeliner can be bought at £2.93...
I love Rimmel's sunshimmer instant tan £4.88...
(5) I recently bought some bright pink star gazer eyeshadow from New Look. I can also use this eyeshadow for blusher. I always try and buy eyeshadow or blusher that can work as both.
